Per the American National Standards Institute - "This standard establishes safety requirements with respect to the design, manufacture, maintenance, and operation of arc welding robot systems and ancillary equipment. It also helps to identify and minimize hazards involved in maintaining, operating, integrating, and setting up of arc welding robot systems."
Our machine guarding products also comply with the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z434-03 Industrial Robots and Robot Systems General Safety Requirements. From the Canadian Standards Association "This safety Standard applies to the manufacture, remanufacture, rebuild, installation, safeguarding, maintenance and repair, testing and start-up, and personnel training requirements for industrial robots and robot systems." The Guardian™ and SlimLine™ are ideal for robotic work cells. These unique work cell products combine the benefits of light curtains, safety mats and fencing into one product for half the price. Their armor pleated curtain protects workers from potentially dangerous ultraviolet light, flying debris, smoke, heat and entry into a work area. The curtain activates the ANSI-rated safety interrupt switch which deactivates the work area robot if the curtain is impacted or lifted. The SlimLine has faster open speeds and reduced installation time. Create one complete work cell with a Guardian, a Frommelt fume containment system and safety fencing.
FlashFold Vertical Rising Welding Cell Safety System The FlashFold™ is designed for robotic welding cells where cross-flash conditions exist. The vertical rising curtain protects personnel from weld flash and flying debris while allowing overhead crane access.

An optional Electric Reversing Edge reverses the curtain upon impact and an optional Safety Interrupt Switch that, if activated, shuts off power to the machine or robot.
Slide-Air Pneumatic Robotic Welding Cell Safety Curtain The Slide-Air™ is used for robotic welding cells or welding areas where fork truck access is required. The speed is adjustable by a pressure control valve or by controlling the volume of air to the cylinder. The pleated curtain design enhances overall appearance and minimizes storage space. Opaque or transparent curtains are available.

Verti-Guard Versatile Safety Guard The solid-panel Verti-Guard™ is the right choice for single or double robotic work cells, part assembly, and conveyor openings. The economical Verti-Guard comes pre-assembled for fast, easy installation. The vertical rising system is designed for overhead crane loading and provides safety from weld flash and flying debris. The low profile design helps prevent back injuries with minimal reach-in required to load parts.
